San Antonio, Texas · Since 2001
The quiet work of a well-made home
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling for homeowners across San Antonio and New Braunfels drawn carefully, built by the same hands, twenty-four years running.
The Practice
We remodel two rooms in a house the two that are used every day.
A kitchen and a bath are not decorated, they are built. Cabinets have to hang true, tile has to hold a line, water has to go where it is told. Everything a homeowner eventually notices was decided long before the finishes went on.
So we work the way a small studio works: one conversation about how the room is actually lived in, a plan drawn against it, materials chosen in daylight, and a crew that stays on the job until the last piece of trim is right. Twenty-four years in this city, doing it the same way.

Selected Work
Rooms we havetaken apart and rebuilt
Six projects from the studio's portfolio. Each one began as an ordinary room in an ordinary San Antonio house.
Before & After
The same square footage, rearranged until it works.

What We Build
Six things,
done well
We do not take on additions, roofs or anything else that would pull attention away from the two rooms we know best.
Kitchens
Layout, cabinetry, surfaces and finish work planned as one piece rather than assembled from parts.
Bathrooms
From a tired tub-and-shower combination to a full walk-in build waterproofing first, everything else after.
Custom Cabinetry
Built to the room's real dimensions, so the run finishes where it should and the doors sit flush.
Tile & Surface Detail
Layouts set out before a single tile is cut, so grout lines carry through corners and niches land where the eye expects.
Countertops
Templated, seamed and set with the material's own pattern taken into account rather than left to chance.
Full Remodeling
One team from demolition to final reveal scheduling, trades and the daily clean-up all held in-house.
How It Goes
Selection
Five stages. You will know which one you are in, and what happens next, before it happens.
Consultation
We come to the house, look at the room as it stands, and listen to how it fails you. No drawings yet just the constraints, the budget you have in mind and the timeline you are working against.
Planning & Design
The layout is worked out on paper before anything is ordered: where the plumbing can move, where it cannot, what the room can hold and what it should not be asked to.
Material & Finish Selection
Cabinetry, tile, countertop and hardware chosen together rather than one at a time, so the finishes agree with each other in the light this particular room actually gets.
Construction
Demolition, rough-in, build and finish, sequenced so trades are not tripping over one another. The site is cleaned at the end of every working day.
Final Reveal
We walk the room with you, list anything that is not right, and finish that list. The work stands behind us afterwards years afterwards.

Why This Studio
You are hiring people, not buying a package.
There is no showroom script here and no sales team between you and the crew. The person who quotes your kitchen is the person who is accountable when the cabinets go in.
Craftsmanship
Work judged by how it looks close up, six months later, in ordinary daylight.
Communication
You are told what is happening this week, and what is happening next week, without having to ask.
Quality
Materials chosen because they last in a Texas house, not because they were easy to source.
Experience
Twenty-four years of knowing what a wall is likely to be hiding before it is opened.
Attention to Detail
Reveals, grout lines, door gaps, caulk joints. The unremarkable things, done remarkably.
Trust
A schedule that is kept, a budget that holds, and a house left clean at the end of each day.
The People
Hector Castillo,and the same crew
A family and military-owned business built around a small, steady team. Hector runs the projects. Tony sets the tile. The names stay the same from the first walkthrough to the last inspection — which is why homeowners keep calling the same number years after their remodel is finished.
